Mr. Jeevinda Keerthiratne, Head of the Tricycle Bureau of the Western Province Road Passenger Transport Authority, announced the decision, stating that the fare for the second kilometer will now be reduced by Rs. 5. As a result, the rate for the first kilometer will remain at Rs. 100, while the fare for the second kilometer will be reduced to Rs. 85.
Mr. Keerthiratne also urged the public to ensure they are not overcharged and to adhere to the new fare regulations within the Western Province.
