The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has announced its readiness for the upcoming general election. A lengthy discussion took place today at Nelum Mawatha regarding strategies to approach the election.
During this meeting, the party deliberated on the possibility of re-integrating members who left during the last presidential election. However, it was decided that individuals accused of corruption would not be allowed to rejoin the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
Several former members who departed the party have expressed their desire to return.
