The Attorney General, and the former Minister of Health, were held accountable in the Colombo District Court today (20) by the patients of Nuwara Eliya and Welimada areas who became blind due to the inferior drugs used in the cataract surgery performed at the Nuwara Eliya General Hospital. Three compensation cases were filed in the District Court against twelve people including the Secretary and the Drug Regulatory Authority. Sri Lanka Latest News
The majority of these patients have become full-time blind due to inferior drugs.
Against that injustice, three plaintiffs filed three cases against the defendants demanding compensation of 100 million rupees to the court today.
