India made a statement regarding Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India amid public protests. Sri Lanka Latest News

The Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr S.Jaishankar said that India will remain vigilant until law and order is restored in Bangladesh.

Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar further said,

“At very short notice, she sought permission to visit India for a short period. At the same time, the Bangladeshi authorities demanded to free the airspace. She reached Delhi yesterday afternoon. We will remain vigilant until law and order is restored in Bangladesh.”

The Indian media reports that the Indian foreign minister has called an all-party meeting and informed about the situation in Bangladesh.

After that meeting, S. Jaishankar had also left a note in his X account.

Sheikh Hasina, who fled amid public protests, is currently staying at an Air Force base in New Delhi, India.

Sheikh Hasina also met India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

When Sheikh Hasina’s father, Mujibar Rahman, who is known as the pioneer of Bangladesh’s freedom struggle, was assassinated in 1975, Hasina fled to India.

Today, foreign media reported that she is waiting for asylum in England and will stay in India until then.
