The Reverend Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Thero stated that human rights violations are taking place in Sri Lanka by Prevention of Terrorism Act and international intervention is needed to stop them.
He also said that he has complained to the HRCSL and the UNHCR Office about the threat to the people’s right to live due to implementation of this act.
He also said that he started to complain to these institutions because he could not wait to see the grave nature of violation of the human rights of the people of this country.
