It has been learned that the President has inquired from Namal regarding his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election, and Namal has directly stated to the President that he will submit his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election.
Accordingly, it is known that the discussion has become quite heated.
Previously, the President had not discussed this topic with Mr Namal Rajapaksa and had arranged to discuss it only with the other members of the Rajapaksa family.
