The Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court has today (16) issued a summons to Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, a senior vice-president of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. (Sri Lanka Latest News)
That was after hearing a private case filed by Thilanga Sumathipala, general secretary of the United People’s Freedom Alliance and the Free People’s Alliance, that the minister had taken measures to close and lock the main office building of the United People’s Freedom Alliance and the United People’s Freedom Alliance.
On July 5th, the two security officers who were used to protect the building in question, while they were inside the property, the defendant arranged to put keys and lock it.
Accordingly, Maligakanda Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrama Weerasinghe issued a summons today (16) to the accused Nimal Siripala de Silva to appear in the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court on July 19.
