Former Minister G. L. Peiris says that no one can postpone the presidential election.
During a visit, he received the blessings of Atamasthanadipa Pallegama Hemarathana and had a friendly discussion with him regarding the holding of the presidential election.
Afterwards, the former minister visited the Lankarama Temple, received the blessings of Vihara Chief Thero Ralapanawe Dhammajothi Nahimi, and discussed the current political situation in the country.
Answering questions from journalists, Mr Peiris reiterated that there is no room for anyone to postpone the presidential election.
Ranil Wickremesinghe added that if the President declares the country’s economy strong and all problems solved, then there should be no fear in holding the election.
