The department states that there may be occasional rains in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Southern provinces.
In some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Nuwara Eliya district, mm. More than 100 heavy rains occur.
In Uva province, Ampara and Batticaloa districts will experience scattered rain or thundershowers during the festive season or at night.
In the western fringes of the Central Highlands, in the North, North Central, Western, South and North Western Provinces and in Trincomalee and Moneragala districts, the winds are blowing at times per km. It is further stated in the announcement issued by the Department of Meteorology that strong winds of around (50-60) are possible.
