The Colombo District Court today (16) refused to issue an injunction restraining the SLFP party, its and officials from acting on the decision taken to appoint Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa as the president of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Mr Keerthi Udawatta as the acting secretary. However, Mr. Justice Sandun Withana said that the plaintiff has the opportunity to amend this complaint and confirm the facts for the relevant injunction.
This complaint was submitted by the Acting General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mr. Duminda Dissanayake.
