In recent years, the average daily consumption of petrol in Sri Lanka is about 28000 barrels.
In 2020 compared to 2019, Sri Lanka faced a 24.4% demand contraction in petroleum imports. Due to reduced supply due to fuel demand, limited distribution through an app was forced.
Analysts have shown that fuel prices have increased dramatically and now people are consuming fuel only for essential purposes because fuel prices are rising and falling once a month.
