Pubalasingham Tavakumar Sendhil (37), a resident of Punkudathiv Kites, has died.
He died shortly after being admitted to the Kandy National Hospital due to some medical condition and he was suffering from pneumonia, said a hospital spokesman.
The police say that the death sentence was pending after an appeal was filed against him
