The forest with the highest density of tigers in Asia has been revealed to be Wilpattu National Park. Sri Lanka Latest News
That is according to research conducted by a team including a zoologist since 2011.
At present, it has been discovered that there are nearly 313 tigers in the park and 8 tigers with cubs are surviving.
Spread over an area of 131,690 hectares, Wilpattu is considered to be the largest national park in the country.
Bordering the districts of Mannar and Vavuniya, Wilpattu is a park that spans the districts of Puttalam and Anuradhapura.
Wilpattu has become one of the world’s healthiest parks because of the tigers there.
