The shooting took place in the Oddusudan area, Mullaitivu.
Oddusudan Police said that the police managed to stop the tipper by shooting at its wheels.
The police and the police special task force have joined this operation.
The police mentioned that the tipper in question tried to take the policemen into danger.
It is reported that the arrested suspect is going to be produced before the Mullaitivu Magistrate’s Court.
