The luxury jeep in which Member of Parliament Mr. Ali Sabri Rahim was travelling collided with a hand tractor in Saliyawewa 15th post the driver of the tractor was injured and admitted to the Puttalam Base Hospital and the MP was not injured in the accident, the police said.
Police say that the accident occurred when Puttalam District Member of Parliament Mr Ali Sabri Rahim was travelling from Puttalam to Anuradhapura in his vehicle with the driver.
The jeep in which the MP was travelling collided with the hand tractor that was travelling in front of him at around 1.30 am on the 13th.
The MP’s luxury jeep was seriously damaged in the accident, police said.
