SriLankan Airlines issued a statement saying that the plane had landed due to a technical error.
Airlines further added that all passengers have exited safely and a technical team is inspecting the aircraft.
SriLankan Airlines also states that steps have been taken to provide necessary hotel accommodation facilities to the passengers until the flight departs again.
