He has been working temporarily as a quality inspector in a garment factory located in that area. The police say that this young man is preparing to go to work in Korea soon. Police investigations have revealed that this young man, who was killed by gunshots, was not involved in any crime or illegal activities. In the investigation, it was found that five shots were fired from a pistol using 09 mm ammunition and 03 shots hit the young man. The police have now confirmed that the shooters missed the target. The target is the owner of this telephone outlet, said the Senior DIG. The motorcycle on which the shooters came was found abandoned in Bandattara area of Matara. Police suspect that it might be a stolen motorcycle. According to the number plate mentioned on the motorcycle, investigations are going to be conducted to identify its owner.
