It is reported that the Port Authority has reserved these small ships as per the request of the Minister of State for Ports, Premalal Jayasekara, and all the food and beverages have been provided to the group from the Port Authority’s canteen.
It was learned that the Port Authority will spend more than 25 lakh rupees for this trip and that the Port Authority had reserved a special tug vessel used for dredging the sea for the trip.
A private secretary of Mr. Premalal Jayasekara has written to the Chairman of the Port Authority to provide the Port Authority with a list of food drinks and materials required for this trip on the 8th of this month.
The following list has been requested stating that ‘I kindly request you to make the necessary arrangements to provide the following for the collection’.
Cheese sandwiches, butter cakes, fish rolls, iced coffee, paper cups, small glasses, spoons and forks, small plates, chairs (with covers) 55 of each type, 60 water bottles (small), 5 tissue packets, a tent The list said 10 chairs and tables (for ministerial security).
In addition, it has been requested to provide 5 port staff members to serve the food.
It is also stated in the letter that the vessels Hansakawa’ and Diya Koulla owned by the Port Authority have been booked for this trip through a letter sent on December 13th.
For the beginning of the new year, a short naval tour has been organized for the Ministers, State Ministers and Members of Parliament at Kailama Port Premises and it was mentioned in the invitation letter sent by Mr Jayasekara that all the participants should arrive at the main entrance of the Port Premises on Chaitya Road at 6.00 pm yesterday. received
