Yashoda Holdings (Pvt.) Limited filed a suit HC (Civil) 90/99(1) in the Provincial Commercial High Court of the Western Province to recover the short-term loan amount of 120 million rupees received from the People’s Bank. The appeal filed by Yashoda Holdings (Private) Limited against the same was rejected by the Supreme Court recently (4*). Accordingly, the People’s Bank has been allowed to recover the amount due for the loan facility.
For this purpose, President’s Advocate S.A. on behalf of People’s Bank. Mr. Parthalingam was accompanied by President’s Advocate Kushan De Alwis and Advocate Hiran Jayasuriya.
