A person has been arrested by the police for breaking the ATM machine of a state bank established in the Anuradhapura Municipal Council premises and robbing money.Sri Lanka Latest News
The thief who came to rob this ATM machine damaged the ATM machine and at that moment the person who was using the machine next to it saw it from the other side and the bank’s mobile security officers of the bank who were on the rounds too saw it and informed the police about this.
A spokesman of the bank said that all the money in the ATM was safe, and the bank was conducting daily inspections of branches and ATMs.
He further said that the theft was caught due to the deployment of mobile patrol cars and the prudence of the bank’s security forces.
