Mr. Niruksha Kumara, the national organizer of the All Ceylon Small Industries Association, says that the tourism business is at risk due to the inundation of the road systems in Kalutara and Wadduwa areas.
Addressing a press conference held today (04), he mentioned that in order to save the tourism business which makes a major contribution to the country’s economy, necessary steps should be taken immediately to drain the water in the relevant areas.
If not, foreign tourists will leave those areas, he emphasized.
Mr. Niruksha Kumara points out that the authorities including the Minister of Tourism have not provided a proper solution to this problem so far.
