If therefore, in a debate with Mr. Namal Rajapaksa, he said that Mr. Lanza would surely compete and win on that subject, adding that Mr. Namal Rajapaksa has no knowledge about such subjects.
The State Minister also said that Mr. Nimal Lanza was also a reason for the defeat of Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa.
He said that when the Special Task Force raided Mr. Lanza’s house based on information that there were drugs in his house, there was a strong allegation that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa intervened to save him and that was a reason that directly affected Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa’s defeat.
The minister said this in a program telecasted on Hiru TV last night.
