Meanwhile, after the related incident, State Minister Diana Gamage was admitted to Sri Jayawardenepura Hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson said she was treated and released from the hospital.
Footage of a conflict of opinion between the two concerned MPs and the Minister of State circulating on social media by now.
The committee appointed to look into this matter says that they will begin investigations into this incident next Monday.
Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa was appointed as the chairman of the committee appointed by the speaker.
