At this moment, the current government, the health minister and the health ministry have become the first chairs in the smuggling of substandard medicines to the country and the essential medicine Human Immunoglobulin (IVIG) has been registered without following the usual procurement procedures by preparing fraudulent documents. The opposition leader said that the government led by the current president and the Ministry of Health led by the Minister of Health are responsible for providing inferior medicines that send the people of the country to their deathbeds. Sri Lanka Latest News

Opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said this today (11) while making a special statement regarding minor drugs.

In the motion of no confidence, the actions of the health minister and the ministry were repeatedly criticized for 3 days, and debates were held regarding the ‘smuggling of substandard medicine by destroying the tax money of the country’s people’, but 113 people expressed their willingness to take the people of the country to their deathbeds by providing them with substandard medicine mafia and substandard drugs. And said the opposition leader.

It is also related to the fact that the drug IAVIG has been smuggled into Sri Lanka without standard, procurement and registration and has been given to a number of patients in Sri Lanka. The opposition leader, who said that experts have confirmed that if these medicines are not available, the lives of some patients will be at risk, further said that this medicine is also given when the disease called Myasthenia Gravis is aggravated.

In this situation, many patients who have been given this inferior medicine have allergies and asked what the answer is from the government led by the president and the health minister of the country, Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, continued to say that the government is putting crony capitalism first and is playing political games and stopping the elections. That the people of the country are being taken to the deathbed by being involved in political rackets.

Also, the president is responsible for this smuggling and the president can remove the corrupt health minister right now but the president won’t do it and the government is losing a lot of money to the country through drug smuggling by taxing the people. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, added that he should be sent home.

In addition, Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that all those involved in this criminal act would be brought before the law in a government of united people’s forces and justice would be done.
