He had arrived at the airport the other day to fly from Brisbane to Melbourne to give a lecture on disability.
It is said that Dr. Dinesh Palipana fell from his wheelchair due to the carelessness of a Virgin Australia ground operations handler.
It is alleged that the ground operations handler ignored the instructions of the two assistants who accompanied him.
However, Virgin Airlines has already started a formal investigation into this incident.
Dr. Dinesh Palipana has also mentioned that he expects to undergo several scans to confirm that no internal damage has occurred.
Dr. Dinesh Palipana is also a recipient of the Queensland Australian Award.
