The notification has been issued to be effective from today (07) at 2.00 p.m. to tomorrow (08) at 2.00 p.m.
The Department of Meteorology informs that due to the turbulent nature of the lower atmosphere surrounding the island, the prevailing rain conditions in the southwestern part of the island are expected to continue.
Western, Sabaragamuwa, South and North-West provinces and Kandy districts will experience occasional rain or thundershowers.
In some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces, mm. The department also informs that heavy rains of more than 100 may occur.
