Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales Company Ltd, based in China, which has become a major player in the local fuel retail market, will enter the local oil refining market in October this year, said Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera today.
“The company’s plans to enter the local refining industry will be finalised next month,” the Minister said at a Sinopec dealer felicitation ceremony in Colombo.
