Reverend Wataraka Wijitha Thero had held this press conference on April 9, 2014.
They had been accused of entering the press conference illegally and using criminal coercion and being members of an illegal assembly.
When the case was called before Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage, the lawyers who appeared for the suspects were sentenced in the open court for pleading guilty.
The magistrate has given permission to both parties to settle with caution regarding other charges.
The general secretary of the Bodubala Sena Organization, Pujya Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero, Pujya Vitaranadeniye Nanda Thero, Pujya Welimada Chandaratana Thero, who are on bail in connection with the incident, appeared before the open court today.
