A serious problem has arisen within the government due to the Cabinet Ministers not handing over the scopes and institutions to the State Ministers.Sri Lanka Latest News

Accordingly, the Minister of State has already decided to request the President to gazette the scopes.

About 22 state ministers have recently gathered in a state minister’s office and decided to submit this request to the president.

However, the state ministers of the ministries under the president have stated that they do not need to gazette those scopes as the affairs of the state ministries under the president have been assigned responsibilities.

But the other state ministers have said that they should request the president to issue a gazette and appoint a separate ministerial secretary.
