Due to the current dry weather conditions, Udawalawa and Yala parks are reported to be temporarily closed for tourists.
A spokesperson of the wildlife department said that a discussion will be held with the officials of the wildlife ministry today (07) in this regard.
A final decision regarding the temporary closure of Udawalawa and Yala Parks for tourists is also to be reached in that discussion. However, due to the prevailing dry weather conditions, recommendations have already been made that Udawalawa and Yala parks should be closed, the spokesman of the wildlife department further stated.
