The President has invited the Samagi Jana Balawega to come for a discussion and it is known that this is an all-party discussion, but there is no common agenda, program, unity or working with one opinion in the members of the current government. The opposition leader Sajith said that the opposition is going to this discussion thinking about the country and the people and if it feels that this discussion is a usual political trick, then it will leave the discussion table at that moment. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said this today (25) at the occasion of giving a bus to Bibila Medagama National School under the Sakwala programme.
There, Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that the success of a government’s negotiation will only work if it is done in good faith and it should not be a gimmick of political gimmicks.
The leader of the opposition also said that the government should have a clear program and even though they have been called for these discussions, they are not yet aware of the issues contained in the agenda and the opposition is participating in this because the people have thought that it will be good for the country. Also, the opposition leader emphasized here that there have been many conflicts of opinion between the 134 MPs of the government and that before coming to the discussion, those differences of opinion should be reconciled and come to a common opinion.
The opposition leader further emphasized that even at this time when the country is trying to recover from many changes, there is a health policy that destroys the people’s lives by bringing in fake medicines and even in the health sector of the bankrupt country, theft is happening and in such a situation, the government should correct these mistakes before negotiating.
The leader of the opposition said that people come to the hospital to get well but many lives have been lost due to medicines in the past and the government has been saying that the opposition is launching conspiracies to irritate the people.
Also, as an opposition, the Samagi Jana Balawega wants to create a country without theft, so we will continue to pay attention to this matter and if the stolen money is given to the school system, the hospital system can provide a good health facility as well as an education facility, he added.
A bus worth 50 lakh rupees was given to Bibila Medagama National School today under the Sakwala program implemented by the Samagi Janabalawega and with that bus, 73 buses have been donated under the Sakwala program.
