It has also been revealed that the copper wires inside the concrete covers have been removed by breaking the concrete covers secretly at night. Currently, a loss of 286 million rupees (28 crores) has been revealed.
In addition, it has been revealed that people who drink drugs have even cut the electric wires with high currents on the Katunayake-Colombo Expressway and because of this, it is impossible to turn on the lights on the expressway at night.
