The government’s domestic debt restructuring plan was approved by parliament today ( 1) following voting.
The proposal received 122 votes in favour and 62 votes against.

Several Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and Samagi Jana Balawega MPs did not vote in this election.

Podujana Peramuna MPs Mahinda Rajapaksa, Namal Rajapaksa, and Chamal Rajapaksa were also absent.
