A news of the sudden death of a 51-year-old woman in police custody is reported from Panadura.

Later, the police took a 51-year-old woman from the house.

Commenting on the incident, the woman’s brother, who lives near the house in question, said that she was ill and he requested not to take her.

However, 4 police officers of the Panadura North Police took the woman away in a three wheeler without a policewoman.

It was further reported that the woman’s illness worsened in the three-wheeler.

But it was also reported that the police officers took her to the police station regardless of her illness.

After that two nephews of the woman came behind the police tricycle and near the police the police officers told them to take the woman to the hospital as she was sick.

Accordingly, the two nephews picked her up in another three-wheeler and took her to Panadura Basic Hospital.
