The Union of Professionals will meet today (31) to decide on future trade union actions because the president has yet to grant the previously agreed-upon discussion.
Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe, media spokesman for the Government Medical Officers’ Association, stated that he sent a letter to the President yesterday requesting a meeting to discuss tax policy.
Meanwhile, the Federation of University Teachers’ Unions has stated that if solutions to their problems are not found, they will intensify their strike.
