It is alleged that the water cannons used by the police to disperse the protest of the National People’s Liberation Army on the 26th were excrement mixed water and the tear gas fired was passed the expire date.
A group of lawyers of the National People’s Force submitted a complaint to the police headquarters yesterday (09) making such accusations.
“An engineer who was knocked unconscious by this tear gas attack is still in the National Hospital. Someone from Ganemulla died yesterday . A significant number of people have complications. We are sure that this expired tear gas has been fired. The highest possible measures are being taken for this domestically and internationally.” said attorney at law Mr. Sunil Vatagala.
