Mr. Sunil Watagala, a lawyer, gave an explanation from the court regarding the decision given by the Supreme Court regarding the holding of the election today.

There he said that no injunction was given not to hold the election, and if the money is given as requested, the election can be held.

He pointed out that the only problem is the submission of an affidavit from the Minister of Finance stating that it is questionable and that he will file an interim affidavit in the future.
