The group of high-ranking American diplomats who arrived in Sri Lanka the night before left yesterday afternoon from their planes.

This group has left from Katunayake Airport in two C-17A aircraft belonging to the American Air Force.

A senior police official said that this group came to Katunayake Airport in a line of vehicles under strict security.

He further said that about 03 hours before that, a lorry arrived at Katunayake Airport with Radio Car and strict security guards to load these planes.
