Under the guidance of Mr. Mahinda Samarasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to America, Heart to Heart International (HHI) has now obtained all necessary government approvals to donate an emergency medical aid stock worth approximately 6,987,269.78 dollars (i.e. 2.6 billion rupees) to Sri Lanka for the fourth time. .
This latest donation includes specialty drugs like Everolinus, an immunosuppressant used in organ transplants, and Sunitinib Malate, used in cancer treatment.
Washington DC The Sri Lankan Embassy in Sri Lanka would like to express its gratitude to HHI for their generous donations for the people of Sri Lanka. This fourth donation, in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health and the Sri Lankan Embassy, is scheduled to reach Sri Lanka by air early next week. All costs related to this donation will be borne by Heart to Heart International, and the Ministry of Health will accept this donation for immediate distribution at no cost to the people of Sri Lanka.
