A recent meeting at the Colombo Library took a violent turn as tensions escalated between two groups. Members of the Malimawe faction were seen attacking the Vanguards with sticks during the gathering, which was held at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Japura).
Eyewitnesses reported the clash, and the event’s organizers have called for the immediate arrest of those responsible for the assault. The incident has raised concerns about the growing intolerance toward differing opinions.
