Kalutara District Candidate Dhananjaya Narambedda has revealed that, despite a legal requirement for all insurance companies in Sri Lanka to allocate 30% of the funds collected for motor vehicle damage caused by terrorist activities to the government, they have only paid 12% to date.

Narambedda further emphasized that an outstanding amount of Rs. 80 billion remains unpaid to the government.

He also stated that, should the President desire, this money could be recovered as early as tomorrow through a gazette notification.
