Organizers within the SJB Party have reportedly decided to urge party leadership to ensure that individuals involved in questionable dealings with former President Ranil Wickramasinghe—specifically those who obtained liquor licenses, licenses for liquor production companies, and decentralized funds—are not nominated in the upcoming general election.
This decision comes after confirmation that several Sahab MPs engaged in secret agreements with the former president, receiving certain benefits in return.
Consequently, the constituency organizers plan to meet with party leadership to formally request that no member who has benefited from the former president’s dealings be considered for re-nomination.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that these constituency organizers are determined to expose the actions of these implicated MPs to the public, despite potential pushback.
