It was noteworthy that none of the National People’s Power party (NPP) MPs were present in the lobby of the legislature as the opposition yelled in protest at the president’s arrival, “Gota Go home.”
NPP is represented in the parliament by Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, Vijitha Hearath, and Harini Amarasooriya.
