Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara stated that the United National Party (UNP) and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) could potentially unite if Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe steps down as leader of the UNP and hands over the leadership to Mr. Sajith Premadasa. He emphasized that without such a leadership transition, there is no meaningful basis for further discussions on the matter.
