A devastating incident unfolded at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport as a Japanese Airways jet collided with a Coastal Security Force aeroplane on the runway, resulting in the tragic death of five coastal guards aboard their flight. Fortunately, the pilot of the Japanese coastal, aircraft survived, albeit with severe injuries, as reported by Japanese state NHK television.
The collision occurred during the descent of the Japanese Airways flight to the Haneda Airport runway, colliding with the Coastal Security Force aircraft, which was en route to deliver essential supplies, including food, to victims of a recent earthquake in Japan. Despite the grim circumstances, all 379 passengers on the Japanese Airways flight were successfully rescued and emerged unharmed.
