Badulla District Parliamentarian Chaminda Wijesiri of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), who was found guilty of assaulting a group of police officers and threatening to kill them, has been sentenced to one and a half years in prison.
The sentence was delivered when the relevant case was taken up before the Badulla High Court today (28).
