Met Department Forecasts Light Rains in Northern and Eastern Provinces, Possible Thundershowers Across Central and Uva Provinces Later Today

There will be some light rains in the Northern and Eastern Provinces and a few places in the North Central, Central and Uva Provinces and other parts of the island. The Meteorological Department says that there will be rain or thundershowers after around 2.00. Sri Lanka Latest News

There is a foggy condition in the morning in some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts.

People have been informed to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.

Also, when the sun moves north, the sun is directly above the latitudes of Sri Lanka from April 5th to 15th.

Accordingly, the department further announces that today (13th) at 12:10 noon, the sun will rise in Kumulamunai, Murikandi, Keridamadu and Thanniattuyana areas.
