IMF Requests Clarification from Sri Lankan Government on Bondholder Agreements Amid Debt Consolidation Efforts

The International Monetary Fund has said that it is expecting more details about the agreement reached by the government of Sri Lanka with the sovereign bond holders. Sri Lanka Latest News

Mr. Peter Brewer, the head of the mission entrusted by the International Monetary Fund to deal with Sri Lanka, has said this.

The International Monetary Fund says that it expects more details to determine whether the agreements reached by the Sri Lankan government with the bondholders align with the IMF parameters and debt relief objectives.

For the debt restructuring process, all parties believe that the bondholders and the representatives representing the Government of Sri Lanka have taken care to carry out the work by the parameters of the International Monetary Fund.
