Even though the President promised to give, thirty-five thousand: the treasury has not released it! OFFER DISCONTINUED! Doctors start a continuous strike from tomorrow! VIDEO I Sri Lanka Latest News

Dr Asela Gunawardena, Director General of Health Services, says that the payment of Attendance Allowance (DAT) has been temporarily suspended due to the disruption of doctors’ duties. Sri Lanka Latest News

The Director General of Health Services has taken this decision by notifying that although the necessary arrangements have been made for the payment of the allowance, the General Treasury has not arranged to provide funds within the approved allocation limit.

In issuing a letter, the Director General of Health Services further stated that the Secretary of Health has informed him to temporarily suspend the payment of the increased amount of 35,000 rupees until the problem is resolved by the treasury.

Accordingly, the Government Medical Officers Association has decided to start a continuous strike from tomorrow (24).
