Donation of Cold Chain Medicines by the Government of the Republic of Türkiye to Sri Lanka

The embassy of Turkiye in Sri Lanka in an media release informs about donation of medicines to the government of Sri Lanka.

Turkiye-Sri Lanka relations have a deep history dating back to the 19th century.  Embassy’s press release is attached herewith.

Donation of Cold Chain Medicines by the Government of the Republic of Türkiye to the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of
Sri Lanka

As part of her enterprising and humanitarian foreign policy, the Government of the Republic of Türkiye is donating urgent medical equipment and medicines to the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka with a view to contribute to ease the hardship faced by the Sri Lankan people during these challenging times.
The first consignment including urgent medicines arrived Bandaranaike International Airport on 14 August 2022. The donation was handed over to the senior official of the Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka by the Embassy officials on arrival at the airport.
As a friendly country, Türkiye will continue to provide her support to Sri Lanka during these difficult times and will always stand by the Sri Lankan people at present and in the future.
